As\u00a0shadows lengthen and\u00a0crispy leaves chase one another down the now-empty streets\u00a0at dusk, the October People take centerstage, working their special magic upon the season of all things horrific,\u00a0creepy-cute, and otherworldly.\u00a0In this spirit, Jake Parker’s<\/a> annual\u00a0Inktober<\/a> event offers a series of prompts for artists to ink their way through the 31 days of October.\u00a0All you need to do is draw.\u00a0Paper, inks,\u00a0graphite,\u00a0tablet –\u00a0all are welcome.\u00a0The flurry of postings tagged #Inktober<\/a> and #Inktober2018<\/a> are all seasonal eye candy – and we don’t mean that stinkin’ kandy korn, either! Well, this is some wretched cuteness right here! Kat’s goulish ladies and their feline friends began their unlife intended as\u00a0book illustrations but they also wind up on some\u00a0pretty sweet swag\u00a0in her etsy shop<\/a> including tees, prints, and pins, some of which she makes by hand. The admittedly Halloween-obsessed Kat shares her\u00a0whimsically dark world of original characters, cats, and coffee.<\/p>\n
